03 PLAY / CASE FILE
Game Development
Solo-developed games built around satisfying systems, playful progression, and ideas that get delightfully strange.

01 OVERVIEW
The context comes first.
Lawn Care Clicker Deluxe is a solo-developed idle clicker-RPG released on Steam through Aul Studios. It turns the familiar rhythm of yard work into a playful progression game about upgrades, automation, and an increasingly unusual lawn empire.
The game grew from my interest in turning an ordinary, repetitive task into a progression system with personality. Building it solo meant moving constantly between design, code, balance, interface, release management, and the small decisions that make a simple loop satisfying enough to keep playing.
Version 2.0 is planned for 2026 and is the next major step for Lawn Care Clicker Deluxe. I am using the update to revisit the game as a shipped product—tightening the progression, improving the experience around its core loop, and building on what I learned from releasing it. Specific features will be shared when they are ready.
I am also developing a new, unannounced game. The development image below is an early look at the project; its title and premise will remain under wraps until I am ready to announce them.
This case study is deliberately incomplete until Jason supplies and approves the facts.
